If you compare work morale and productivity prepandemic to during/after pandemic, I'm almost certain there's no comparison. I don't know why we like to forget these positive points. It gets me fired up when we make POSITIVE STRIDES after some type of tragedy. Your employees are probably putting more hours in now, then they ever did in the office because they cut out 2 plus hours of getting ready, commuting, etc.ĭon't make the masses suffer because of one bad employee. Guess what? We have a water cooler idea, we can message them instantly on teams, slack, etc to tell them about it & to chat when they're free and open. We have made deeper and more meaningful connections with our colleagues now, then we ever could at a 5 minute water cooler chat. Your employees' lower anxiety level to be able to get their work done efficiently & not be constantly interrupted by that one colleague that stops by "for a sec to chat" then stays for 30 mins plus, which now puts them behind in their day.Īnyone that says the best collaboration happens face to face doesn't know how to optimize the tools & technology we have now adays. ![]() Your employees' lower stress level to prep meals etc instead of rushing at 6pm after a long day.Ħ. Your employees' moral to know they work for a company that trusts them to do their job independently in the comfort of their choosing instead of chained to an office desk where it's too hot, too cold, uncomfortable, etc.ĥ. Your employees' thankfulness to get an extra hour or more of sleep because they probably worked late the night before & now they don't have to get up earlier to get ready for their commute.Ĥ. Do you know what that consists of? Preparing a lunch or spending $ for lunch at work, getting their bag ready, devices, picking out an outfit, scheduling meals, etc.ģ. Your employees' gratitude to not have to spend an hour plus in the evening getting ready for tomorrow. Your employees' happiness to be able to spend more time with their families in the morning & in the evening, instead of rushing around trying to get themselves ready and everyone else.Ģ. I have yet to hear one good reason to drag employees back to the office.Įmployers you're paying rent on leases that you can't get out of ? Yes, that sucks, but that lease will end & be forgotten about.ġ. Why is coming or not coming back to the office full time still a question?
